• Instruments/Music for Africa

One of our Nairobi students Koti Mwanzia, is desperate to learn the cello and is independently studying the theory of how to play; unfortunately, there are no cellos at his school but this has not deterred him. He wrote to Concordia with a humble request for a single cello. This has precipitated our new campaign INSTRUMENTS FOR AFRICA. We are searching for instruments and sheet music, the transport of which has already been arranged. We urgeany Friendof the Foundation who may wish to donate dusty instruments from the attic to contact us. We received advice and a first generous donation of £50 to the campaign from our cellist Li Lu, thank you! A huge thank you must go to Elisabeth Stheeman who very kindly donated violin and cello music and to Liz Goodwin who has donated over 1000 Fife books! Please do consider us if you have any sheet music stored in your house that could be put to better use in the schools of Nairobi
